LAUNCESTON Town Band are representing Launceston and the entirety of Cornwall at the National Brass Band Championships in Cheltenham on Saturday, September 22.

As reported in The Post in March, Launceston Town Band came third out of 25 for a qualifying round in Torquay, and will be joining 22 other brass bands from around Great Britain in Cheltenham.

In the competition the band will be playing 'British Isles Suite,' composed by 17 year old Jonathan Bates of the Black Dyke Band in Yorkshire.
