LIONS Clubs worldwide have this year been challenged to plant one million trees by their international president Wing-Kun Tam to demonstrate the strength of the Lions' global network. This target has in fact, been exceeded almost ten fold. Launceston Lions planted a Prunus Kanzan tree in Coronation Park on May 20 to meet his challenge, as well as celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
