THE official re-opening of Launceston Community Hospital took place on Monday, April 15 with members of Peninsula Community Health, hospital staff and the hospital's league of friends attending.

After a £200,000 refurbishment, results have returned and the hospital is clear of legionella bacteria which had caused the cottage hospital to close in February.

Pam Parnell, of the league of friends, felt that the day went "very well" and was impressed with the hard work given by the people involved in the refurbishment.
