A coffee morning was held at the Kensey Vale Bowling Club on Saturday, January 30, to help raise money for Help For Heroes. The event was attended by Launceston Mayor and Mayoress, Paul and Rosemary O'Brien and a gathering of around 40 people went along to give their support throughout the morning. Meg Chapman, of the bowling club, said: "It had a very good attendance, it was felt that we had to do something to help the charity." In total the coffee morning raised a grand total of £620.12. Meg expressed thanks to those involved, and said: "We couldn't have done it without the helpers, supporters and those that made donations."
