LAUNCESTON CCTV partnership goes from ‘strength to strength’, but more volunteers are needed.
Cllr John Harris told Launceston Town Council at its meeting on June 20 that he had attended the partnership’s annual meeting, and said it is ‘doing very well’.
He added: “They have just had another camera — this is number five or six — on Westgate Street looking over across the bus stop and car park. They are also discussing the possibility of one in Newport.
“It goes from strength to strength. The cameras can now see in HD and in the dark. The CCTV is monitored Saturday evenings but records 24 hours as well.
“They could do with some more volunteers to man the cameras.”
