A BUDE couple have lauded the contribution of Launceston man Walter Downing in getting them on the road to recovery.
Mike and Sarah Butler bought a second hand car from Walter Downing Car Sales on March 23 this year and were given a three month warranty, which was part of the sale agreement and is standard.
When the warranty is up most dealers leave buyers to their own devices when it comes to sorting out any problems. Walter however took a different approach to dealing with the Butler's problem when they came to him.
Sarah said: "Two months after my car was out of warranty my car started to play up with lights coming on and the general driveability terrible.
"I was scared to drive the car in case I was doing more damage than good, so I approached Walter with the issues, expecting him to turn around and tell me it was out of warranty so not his problem anymore."
