PEOPLE in Bude have recycled 3,420kgs of rubbish through a community recycling scheme, according to latest figures released by A Greener Bude.

Since the opening of community recycling bins at Rosie’s Kitchen, Crooklets, people have recycled an astonishing 3,420kgs.

The bins, provided and collected by Coastal Recycling, recycles items which are more often than not unable to be recycled by local authorities, including black plastics, as well as general waste. People drop off their recycling and waste to the community recycling bins, which is then collected.

Figures include 360kgs in June, 940kgs in July, 840kgs in September and 1,280kgs in October, 2018.
