A BEREAVED mother from Bude has been awarded a prize for being the highest fundraiser at the Children's Hospice South West's (CHSW) Moonlight Memory Walk.

Jenny Owen took part in the ladies-only four mile circular walk around Saltash in the moonlight last October to remember and celebrate loved ones.

A total of 350 women raised in the region of £30,000 through sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues — a fantastic amount to go towards the vital funds needed to continue the care and support offered at CHSW's Cornish hospice Little Harbour in St Austell.

Mrs Owen raised £315 in sponsorship, the highest individual amount, and was presented with an ABC Skincare set and enjoyed a mini-facial, all donated by Jennifer Vaughan. of Tropic Pure Plant Beauty.
