ONE local beach goer from Bude has warned others to be on the look out as her Whippet was almost stung by a washed up Portuguese man o’war jellyfish on Widemouth Bay beach.

Hoping to ensure no one gets caught out and stung by one of these deadly creatures, Milly Moore, a local food photographer, quickly whipped out her camera and took a snap of the washed up creature and shared it with the local community.

She said: “Just hoping to avoid a child or a dog getting stung as I read that they can be pretty nasty.

“I was down there with my little Whippet and luckily managed to get hold of her and get her back on the lead, otherwise she could have been stung.”
