THE dog that had to undergo two operations following an attack while out walking, is returning to health and enjoying walks on the beach with her owner again.

Jaz, the Bude collie, had been out on her first walk since recovering from an operation when the incident took place on Saturday, February 2, as previously reported in the 'Post'.

Her owner, Sarah Jeffrey of Bude, was at home recovering from an operation so Sarah's sister-in-law had taken Jaz out.

While walking to Widemouth, another dog walker, believed to be in his 60s, appeared with a Jack Russell. On seeing Jaz, he put the terrier on a lead but as they passed it attacked Jaz.

The man walked away with his dog, but later on the extent of the damage to Jaz was found to be much worse than was originally believed.
