IS THE Range coming to Bude?

That’s the suggestion that’s circulating the town, following media coverage of the retail giant’s founder Chris Dawson’s visit to the Truro store recently.

The Range, which sells — quite literally — a range of products and items, from cushions and throws, furniture and curtains, to kitchen wear, craft sets and electrical appliances, was the brainchild of Plymouth-born Chris Dawson, one of Britain’s richest men.

During a visit to the Truro store of The Range, Mr Dawson announced that he would be looking to open a further three stores in Cornwall in the coming months, creating approximately 300 jobs for Cornish people.

Amongst towns such as Newquay, Bodmin and Camborne, Bude was one of the other areas suggested to locate a new store.
