A MAN and his dog returned to Bude recently to spread the message about litter and pollution.
Wayne Dixon and his Inuit dog Koda are walking the coast of the UK and on their journey are picking up every piece of litter they find.
They came to Bude before Christmas and made a return trip in July to support Paul Crum of Bude Rubbish Action Group (BRAG) and his 24-hour litter pick in Bude.
On July 23, they visited Bude Primary Academy to chat to the children about his amazing and inspirational journey around the coast. All children were mesmerised about the effect to wildlife that litter is having both on land and in the sea.
Bude Primary Academy has its own beach clean group, ‘Plastic Minions’, run by Mrs Rosser and Mrs Kington. The group was treated to a personal audience with Wayne and asked great questions about what litter he is finding and how it is damaging the planet.
Wayne also presented Year 5 pupil Aaron Streeter, a keen BRAG member who has done so many litter picks around the streets of Bude, with a signed print and a hi-viz jacket, signed by Wayne.
To conclude the assembly, Year 6 pupils sang their plastic rap to Wayne.
