CIRCUS skills, crafts, dancing and Halloween fun was had at the recent Bude indoor carnival, organised by Danielle Bacon of Bacon’s Family Amusements.
The event, which saw a variety of fun activities take place in different sessions at Budehaven tennis centre on October 28, was a great success, raising £40 for Bude RNLI.
Danielle, the ‘one and only’ organiser of the indoor carnival, was pleased to have pulled off the unusual but fun, Halloween-themed event. “I got the crazy idea to organise this event and it had things like bouncy castles, children’s soft play, a small craft market, circus skills and then Urban Dance came along and did a performance, which was great.”
The event was held in order to support the local RNLI branch, as well as putting on a great weekend for locals. Danielle said: “They’re a fantastic charity [the RNLI]. I follow the RNLI on Facebook and they’re just amazing, getting up at the crack of dawn or even in the middle of the night to answer calls for help. We live in a seaside town — without them we’d be lost, really.”
Having raised £40 from this indoor carnival, Danielle was looking forward to the next indoor carnival, which again was raising money for the RNLI.
She said: “A massive thank you to everyone who came — the feedback has been fantastic. Everyone was awesome, which made it, really. It was a really fun event to put on.”
