THE Launceston branch of Macmillan Cancer Support went to the town’s Argos store last month to hold a pop up charity station to collect donations.

On the day the branch members manned the stall from 10am to 6pm and in that time managed to raise £251.51 in donations.

Volunteer, Morris Jordan, said: “It was a fantastic day and we are very thankful to the hundreds of people who came out to support us.

“The previous day we received a number of donations from many local businesses and we would like to give our thanks to them too.”
