BUDE was transformed into a feast of colour at the weekend for the town's carnival. A trail of fancy dress, fun and festivities meandered through the town where hundreds of spectators lined the streets to witness the grand procession. The line-up featured 28 floats, eight queens and 12 walking entries, along with sounds from Bude Town Band, North Devon Pipes and Drums, Barnstaple Youth Marching Band and Torrington Allstars Majorettes. The Vamanos Brazilian Samba Band also provided entertainment in The Triangle. Dance displays from Amanda Brook's School of Dance, presentations, royalty crowning and fancy dress judging took place during the afternoon, before entertainment from Bude's Got Talent — new this year.
