THE?year 2013 was not as good for homing cats at Launceston and District Cats Protection as the previous year, but thanks to sustained support, fundraising levels remain very healthy.
The group has had some very profitable events at Lifton Church Hall — such as the spring fayre, jumble sale, and in particular, the grand Christmas fair.
The annual open day, held in September, was the most successful ever, boasting good weather and excellent support, with a number of cats and kittens homed.
Becoming a branch member is a good way to keep in touch with what the branch is doing, and for £5 a year newcomers will receive four newsletters. Kitty Club – a monthly prize draw – has increased in number too, which means the prize money has gone up.
