A BUDE hotel could be demolished to make way for apartments.

Planning permission is being sought from Cornwall Council to demolish Penarvor Hotel and one unit of residential accommodation at Crooklets and erect ten luxury apartments — nine two-bed apartments and one three-bed penthouse suite apartment.

The existing building, which overlooks Crooklets beach, is no longer being used as a hotel.

Documents submitted to the council by application agent Trewin Design Architects state planning consent was granted two years ago to demolish the hotel and replace it with five townhouses. The site was sold after consent was granted.

Bude-Stratton Town Council’s plans committee is set to discuss the application today (Thursday).
