BEN Watkins and Darren Williams of Holsworthy Social Club won the regional Sunday Independent Snooker competition, beating Callington Social Club's David Laverington and Danny Olver in the final at the Belgrave Snooker Club, Plymouth.
The Callington pair had a 12 point handicap advantage but lost a low scoring first frame 46-33. Watkins and Williams doubled their lead by taking the colours to win the second frame 60-41.
Laverington and Olver won the third 54-33, taking brown, blue and pink, but the Holsworthy restored their two frame lead by winning the fourth.
Laverington made a break of 27 to help reduce the deficit but the Holsworthy pair won the sixth 72-24 to lift the trophy by four frames to two.
In earlier rounds Ben and Darren had beaten pairs from Plymouth, Lostwithiel and Okehampton before beating the reigning champions in the semi-final.
Ben and Darren are also the current holders of the Bude and District Panasonic League pairs title representing Holsworthy Social Club.
