Long service awards for Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council were presented to Bob Vanstone (37 years) and Mrs Leslie Hobbs (30 years) at a recent Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council meeting.

They were presented with a framed certificate, flowers and laminated copies of their first meeting and they also enjoyed a special cake.

Mr Vanstone said: "I am more than overwhelmed by this and it is quite unexpected. But I will say that I have enjoyed being on the council for this length of time and in doing so I hope I have put something back to the community, which has helped them in some way or another. I would like to say thank you to everyone."
