ADDITIONAL opportunities to buy loved ones something different and get into the festive season has been announced by Holsworthy Town Council.

It has announced that there will be two additional Christmas markets held in the build up to the big day in response to popular demand.

The events will take place on two Wednesdays during the month, namely Wednesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 17 with both markets being open for business at The Square in the town between 9am and 3pm.

With Christmas rapidly on the horizon, there promises to be a festive touch to proceedings at the two Christmas markets, which are set to be a seasonal hubris to get even grinches in the festive mood.

At the events there will be a ‘fantastic’ selection of seasonal treats, a range of crafts and a warm community welcome for everyone in addition to a large array of local traders selling wares that for some, could have just the thing for that last minute Christmas gift.

The two Christmas markets bring to a close the town’s markets for 2025, a challenging year that has seen Holsworthy Town Council assess options to improve the viability of the weekly event, eventually resolving to make the market seasonal.

A spokesperson for Holsworthy Town Council said: “Holsworthy Town Council is pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, we will be holding two additional Christmas Markets on Wednesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 17 between 9am and 3pm in the Square, Holsworthy,

“Come along and enjoy a festive atmosphere, browse a fantastic selection of local stalls, pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts and support our wonderful local traders. There will be lots of seasonal treats, crafts and a warm community welcome for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!”
