TODAY (Thursday) the 'Post' launches a campaign to save as many rural post offices as possible from closure — but we need YOUR help, writes Keith Whitford, the editor. Many local people fear they may lose their post office under the review which Post Office managers are undertaking. The bosses of the network are considering closing 2,500 branches across the country — and the first wave of closures has already been announced in other areas of our land. There are concerns that post offices in North Cornwall, West Devon and Torridge districts may be vulnerable. But, there is still time for your voices to be heard. Any announcement on proposed closures is not expected until late April or early May.
