THE Your Shore Beach Rangers, A Greener Bude and Bude Marine Group are hosting an evening talk given by author, broadcaster and wildlife conservationist Richard Peirce.

Hear the stories behind the stories! The comments below are just some of those that arose out of various incidents.

“I think that elephant is going to charge us, yes I think it probably is”; “We came through a gap in the bushes and found ourselves face to face with two fully grown lions”; “I arranged a signal with my film crew that if any of us noticed anything dangerous coming up that person would mention ‘red filter’, and we would get out —FAST”; “I am worried they might try and kill me” said the message from the undercover volunteer”.

Join them as Richard shares the journey he and his photographer wife Jacqui took, whilst travelling in Africa gather research for his wildlife books, Nicole and Cuddle Me, Kill Me plus making his new film ’Lions, Bones & Bullets’. Nicole tells the story of a Great White shark’s epic trans-ocean journey and is said to be ‘the greatest shark story ever told’, whilst Cuddle Me, Kill Me is a true account of the South African canned lion hunting.
