The Launceston Medical Centre has been busy over the last few weeks preparing for COVID vaccinations in Launceston and the surrounding area.
The team has completed and mandated training required to deliver the vaccine safely. Once approved by NHS England, the COVID vaccination programme can commence at designated hubs in east Cornwall.
Patients of Launceston Medical Centre will be contacted by the practice with information about venue, dates and times for their COVID vaccination. This should happen from mid-January, starting with the most at risk patients.
Do not ring the practice as the practice will call people as and when.
A spokesperson from the medical centre said: “Please rest assured we are doing everything we can to support this programme and once underway we will channel all our energy into making the clinics as successful as the flu clinics were.
“I hope this information is helpful and I would like to thank all of the PPG for their help during what has been a very difficult year.”
The practice dispensary has now also moved location.
The new entrance is in operation and the north side of the building is being vacated in readiness for the next stage of refurbishment.
