Tamar Valley Health have asked that anyone over 70, extremely clinically vulnerable or a health and social worker - and can attend Launceston college this Sunday for a COVID vaccination, to contact the health centre.

A spokesperson said: “I understand some of you are confused that we are now asking patients to contact us as we have previously asked patients not to.

“We have 500 + appointments to book before Saturday and many more being released shortly, the practice does not have the resources to ring 2,000 patients in such a short space of time. Remember not all our patients can attend launceston, this way we can fill the clinics quickly with the specific patients that are happy to travel.”

They added: “We appreciate this is confusing but we are under immense pressure and we need our patients help and support.”
