THE Bude-Stratton neighbourhood plan has been signed off, and it is now up to the Bude community for the final decision to be made.

At Bude-Stratton Town Council’s planning committee meeting on Thursday, March 2, town mayor, Cllr Lea Deely, updated the meeting on the neighbourhood plan, which she, along with a steering group, have been working tirelessly on for a considerable amount of time.

She announced that the neighbourhood plan has passed all of Cornwall Council’s compliance checks, and has been signed off.

Cllr Deely said: “I am delighted to confirm that the Bude-Stratton neighborhood plan has passed all of Cornwall Council’s compliance checks, and has been signed off by the examiner. It will go to referendum on Thursday, May 4, which is election day for town and county council members.

“Many thanks to all who have helped us get to this stage. It is now up to the people of Bude and Stratton to read through the plans and vote in the referendum.”

If 51% vote in favour, the plan will be ‘made’ and used to inform in all planning decisions in the area.

Cllr Deely brought the update to a close by reminding everyone to vote in the elections.
