HUNDREDS of people packed the centre concourse at Holsworthy Agribusiness Centre for a harvest celebration and tour, last Friday. A tour was given to those who had not seen the agribusiness centre, which held its first livestock market the Wednesday before, page 5. Kivells auctioneer James Morrish then welcomed the audience to the harvest festival. The Rev Christopher Penn, priest-in-charge for Holsworthy, Hollacombe and Milton Damerel, the Rev John Henry, Superintendent Minister of the Holsworthy Methodist Circuit and the Rev Stuart Wilson from Bratton Clovelly took the service. Will Bromell, son of Kivells auctioneer Mark Bromell, and David Kivell, auctioneer and director, gave readings. A collection was made in aid of the market chaplaincy team and young farmers institution. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
