PRESIDENT John Boundy praised an 'amazing' Holsworthy and Stratton Show. Luck was on the Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Association's side for the show's 118th outing on August 28 at Killatree Cross, Pyworthy. After a sharp shower early on the weather soon started to brighten up and main ring commentator Bill Kneebone commented: "Because it's not beach weather I think we can expect a record crowd." Secretary Alison Heywood said the day had started a little slow because of the earlier rain but that the crowds were coming in with the shuttle buses 'packed'. She added: "It's all going really well and everything is running on time." For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
