DELABOLE was plunged into Christmas on Saturday, December 8 as the village switched on their new Christmas lights.
The fun began at 6pm with mulled wine and mince pies for sale alongside candy floss and sweets for the youngsters.
There was also entertainment from North Coast Harmony giving their take on popular Christmas carols, which was followed by the big switch-on at 6.30pm.
Cornwall Councillor for St Teath and St Breward, Dominic Fairman, did the honours of turning the lights on.
The new lights committee took over the running of the lights in December 2017 and have been working hard all year raising funds and building new light structures.
The team still have lots of ideas and things we would like to achieve in the coming years and would warmly welcome new members and ideas.
There will be an annual general meeting on January 21 in the Bettle and Chisel pub at 7pm for any new people wishing to join and lend their support in any capacity.
The lights committee extended thanks to all the sponsors this year, without whom this year’s display would not have been possible.
