BUDE mum Carolyn Berry walked into her local pub on Saturday, June 29 swishing her long red hair, and walked out a few hours later without it — having raised over £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Carolyn's daughter, Janet Simmonds, who has terminal cancer, lost her hair due to chemotherapy, thus Carolyn decided to support her daughter and the charity by having her own long hair shaved off.
Carolyn said: "We have been through some rough times but she is so strong. I decided to turn it into a fun fundraising evening in the hope more people would see what a star she is and willingly donate money to Macmillan who have been a great support in every way."
