GYPSY, Roma and Traveller communities across Britain will be celebrating their culture with the history month in June — including at Camelford and Launceston — following last year's successful events.
Cornwall Council's Equality and Diversity Service and Cornwall Library Service have organised a series of events throughout Cornwall, including storytelling and exhibitions.
During the month storytellers will be visiting many Cornish libraries to remember and share the history of Britain's 300,000 gypsies, roma and travellers who have lived, worked and travelled throughout the country for over 500 years.
The free storytelling events will take place at Launceston Library on June 15 at 10am and Camelford Library on June 16 at 2pm.
Library Outreach Officer Maureen Twose said: "Gypsies and travellers have developed strong traditions in storytelling, poetry, singing, dance, art and design, and this is an opportunity for the settled community to find out more."
