This week Holsworthy joined the nation in a moment of reflection to consider and remember those who risked and gave their lives to protect the country around the world.

2022 marks the 104th anniversary of the end of the First World War and in Holsworthy, Parish Mayor, Cadets, Scouts and members of the public came out in force to pay their respects to those fallen in WWI.

WWII as well as other wars across the world. Important figures laid wreathes and members of the public lined the streets for the remembrance parade.

More than 200 Army Cadets and Adult Volunteers paraded across Devon to pay respects to the fallen at this year’s Remembrance Parades. A high standard of dress and drill were apparent and compliments were paid by their respective towns and villages from local dignitaries.
