THERE was a good turnout for the first veterans’ breakfast club held at Launceston on Saturday.

The town’s Royal British Legion headquarters was the venue, and Launceston’s breakfast club was the 80th to join the national scheme.

Organiser Mike Pearson said the next breakfast club will take place on Saturday, January 23, again at Edymead, with new people always welcome.
