One hundred years of Girl Guiding and Thinking Day were celebrated by 100 members of Launceston District Rainbows, Brownies and Guides at Trethorne Leisure Park, Launceston on Saturday, February 27. The girls had lots of fun playing on the slides, climbing activity walls and feeding the animals. A celebratory cake was enjoyed by all and one member of the 1st Tregadillet Guides, Olivia Mills, made her Guide promise in the ball pool! Special guests were the Trefoil Guild who are either past members of Guiding, or supporters of Guiding. Everyone is now looking forward to seeing the hundreds of daffodil bulbs blooming which were planted locally and county wide to celebrate the centenary.
