LOCALS in and around Bude have been getting creative this month, taking part in the Big Draw festival at the Castle Bude.

The free event, which started on Saturday, October 15 and is due to finish on Sunday (October 30), has seen people of all ages and abilities go along to the Castle to draw, doodle and create memorable images on long rolls of paper, in an aim to ‘wrap the Castle in drawings and doodles’.

The theme of the event is ‘STEAM’ — Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths — and, over the two weeks, staff at the Castle have seen drawings of people, objects and views in front of the budding artists, through to creations from their vibrant imaginations.

At the end of this event, it is hoped the rolls of paper, filled with different designs and doodles, will be able to wrap around the Castle building.
