WORKING with the Sport England-funded ACTIVE Project, Phoenix Leisure Centre in Launceston is running an ‘Adults Swim Free’ offer until the end of December.

Since the start of October, adults get one free place when accompanied by a paying child, aged 4 to 15, providing a great opportunity to get more active, have fun and enjoy some quality family time.

Phoenix Leisure Centre manager Tom Glendinning said: “We want to increase participation at Phoenix Leisure Centre and this is a great offer to make swimming more accessible.

“With the possible cuts to leisure funding in the county it is more important than ever that the community supports its local facility and it’s wonderful to have received funding that we can pass on to our customers to allow this.

“Swimming is an excellent way to improve fitness whilst having fun and spending valuable time as a family. It also gives an opportunity to build good healthy habits for the future by encouraging families to exercise together and our 25m leisure pool is a brilliant place to do it.”

The adults swim free sessions will be available on Wednesdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and weekends between 2pm and 5.30pm.
