Back in August I had a lunch to raise funds for my grandson's appeal and in November I organised a wine and wisdom.

This letter is to thank all the generous people who helped raise £3,500.

Rio has lost nearly all his sight (this is only one of the many symptoms of Battens Disease he will suffer in his short life) and we wanted to send him to Disney World, before he lost all his sight. Rio will only live to his teens, he is seven years old.

The generosity of so many people has enabled us to send Rio to Florida in February.
