A GRAYSHOTT soldier who was awarded the Victoria Cross was among those remembered at services held around the world on Saturday to mark the 100th anniversary of one of the bloodiest battles of the First World War.
More than 131,000 Allied and Turkish troops died in the Gallipoli conflict, including 11,400 Anzac, Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and 25,000 British soldiers.
