THE Tetcott Hunt's first outdoor fundraising event of the year turned out to be a real cracker.

Almost 120 riders turned out for the 10-mile fun ride across some magnificent open countryside around Marhamchurch and Bridgerule.

Committee member Diana Stevens said: "We were delighted with the record breaking attendance and everyone enjoyed the spectacular weather and magnificent views. We are particularly grateful to the kind Marhamchurch landowners who allowed us to hold the ride.

"Plans are in hand to hold more rides over the next few months in between our other fundraising activities."
