BEAUTIFUL sunshine, glorious cakes and lots of laughter were the order on Saturday when Benny’s tails took place in the Triangle at Bude.
The family fun-filled day was organised by Emma Napier to raise funds for Benjamin Bennett, who has a rare type of cancer and needs specialised treatment in Bristol.
There were toys to play with, donated by the toy library, puppet making, mouth-watering cakes, face painting, creative writing and some dancing from Bude Jive Club, who livened up the Triangle with their funky jive moves.
There were also story telling workshops, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, and one of Bude’s most well-known citizens, Len Tozer, came and read a story, to the delight of the children — and many of their parents!
Children also had the chance to write a story or draw a picture and put it on the tree of tails — it is hoped these will be collected and passed onto Benny and his family to cheer him up while he is in hospital.
