A SPECIAL Fun Day on the rugby pitch next to Lux Park Leisure Centre will take place tomorrow (Saturday, May 23) as part of the annual Relay for Life in aid of Cancer Research.

The event will begin at midday, admission is free and there are many activities for the whole family to enjoy. These include games, welly wanging, human 'hungry hippos', stalls, competitions, live music, a bouncy castle, super heroes, refreshments and much more.

The fun day is all part of the overall Relay for Life event which lasts over a 24-hour period, bringing together teams of people who celebrate, remember and, most importantly, are fighting back against cancer. This year's relay will see previous teams returning and will also welcome new ones.

The Liskeard Relay For Life, now in its eighth year, has in that time raised more than £220,000 for Cancer Research UK and the organisers have this year set themselves a target fundraising figure of £30,000.
