STAFF at Sutcombe Community Primary School welcomed the community for an evening of games and activities to celebrate the end of the school year. The event, on Friday July 18, was planned by PTFA members and raised £441. Acting headteacher Jo Dymond said: "I would like to send deepest thanks to all of those who came along to make the evening so pleasant and successful. "It truly was a fitting end to our school year where we have seen Sutcombe Primary School go from strength to strength and be the focal point of community once again. "I have been very proud to serve both the school and the local community as my time of acting headteacher and as I leave this term, "I wish the school all the very best for the future and thank everyone who has helped to make our school such a special one."
