IT has been a summer filled with fundraising events for one friend group in Bude.

The Bude Seaside Friend’s Group have hosted a number of events throughout the summer months, all with the aim of raising much needed funds for Children’s Hospice South West.

All in all they have raised more than £2,000.

A group spokesperson said: “Bude Seaside Friend’s Group would like to thank everyone who helped us in any way and those who supported us at our events in the summer.

“We have raised over £2,000 for the Children’s Hospice South West.

“Our next fund raising event will be a musical evening with the Bencoolen Wreckers on Friday, October 21, 7pm at St Marwenne’s Church, Marhamchurch.”
