BRADWORTHY Football Club are celebrating 100 years of the club and to mark the occasion they wanted to do something a little different.

A passing comment was made at a football presentation by club chairman Lee Holloway, all done in jest, about doing a calendar. Club secretary Justine Johns and Sarah Bryant, wives of the first team managers Gavin and Danny, thought this was a great idea and turned the idea into reality.

A club spokesperson said: “Players of the club past and present agreed to take part and certainly let go of their inhibitions and with the help of photographer Ali Palmer who took and created some incredible photos, the calendar was created.

“The A3 calendar is being sold to raise money for the club and the North Devon Hospice at £10 each and can be bought in Martins, Wades and Bradworthy Post Office or directly through the club via their Facebook page.”

They added: “Also thanks needs to go the local businesses that sponsored the calendar which helped with the printing costs, to enable us to raise more money through sales.”
