IT?has been ‘a much better year’ for Bude’s Café Limelight the town council’s responsible financial officer (RFO) announced last Thursday.
Ms Angela Weare-Gifford at the town council’s heritage and culture committee handed out a document to councillors highlighting her proposed budgeted figures of incoming and outgoing expenditure for 2016/17.
She said some of the standout areas, including the Castle’s Café Limelight, which has generated lively debate over the past several months over whether it should be viewed as a money-making business or a public facility, concentrated on visitors enjoying the experience.
Ms Weare-Gifford said: “Income at the café has been much better than last year, so I am quite confident that we can increase the budgeted income there for the next year.”
