THERE were celebrations on Monday when North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson cut the ribbon to mark the opening ceremony of the relocated Post Office to Stratton Stores.

The family business of Lansdown Dairy have taken on the Post Office at their general store, Stratton Stores, which opened last April.

Previously, landlord Bob Semple had operated a part-time Post Office at The Tree Inn to maintain a Post Office in the village after the previous branch closed. Mr Semple was fully supportive of the Post Office moving to the newly-opened store.

Julia Shepherd and her two sons, Andrew and Paul, who have lived in the area all their life, already have lots of retail experience from the family-run Lansdown Dairy, which has been in the family for more than 60 years. Andrew is the postmaster, however, the Stratton shop and Post Office will be run by David.
