FOUR firefighters from Wadebridge were sent to the narrow streets of Port Isaac to test a water supply on Monday, August 7.

The simple, but efficient dam in the streets of Port Isaac allows fire crews to quickly build up a decent water supply to pump to any area in the lower part of the village.

While there, they stopped by at Port Isaac RNLI to donate some money to the charity.

A Wadebridge Community Fire Station spokesperson said: “The volunteers at Port Isaac do a fantastic job (as we have experienced collaborating with them at emergency incidents). They rely solely on donations from members of the public and we are more than happy to donate when we can.”
