A FIRE occurred at Woodford Bridge Leisure Centre, Milton Damerel, just after 6pm on Friday.

Three appliances were sent initially from

Hols­worthy, Torrington and Bideford with Station Commander Rooke in charge.

The Holsworthy crew was first at the scene and officers found a small fire involving electrical pumps in the jacuzzi plant room, which was out on their arrival.

The other two

appliances were returned to their stations.

The crew inspected the plant room and ventilated the property to clear the smoke.
