AS part of National Rural Housing week, a cheque for £250 was presented to St Giles on the Heath Community hall chairman Ken Hamlyn by Southwestern Housing trustee Malcolm Heydey in the community hall on Monday, July 11.

The Southwestern Housing team presented a cheque to go towards the upkeep of the WiFi system that is installed in the hall.

The association was the developers of the new housing estate that was built in St Giles last year.

People from the new estate came to talk to some members of the team regarding any problems they would like to discuss with them.

Tea and cake were provided for all present, which was served by members of the parish council and hall members, the event was much enjoyed by those present.
