Jackie Hannaford of Kilkhampton organised a fashion show at Penstowe Manor, Kilkhampton on Tuesday, June 16 in aid of Treats for Troops. With volunteer models and the hair and make-up done for free by Y2K and Zanna Health and Beauty, Bude, Jackie was able to raise around £300 from ticket sales and a raffle. It was a very enjoyable evening with plenty of bargins to be had. Jackie, who has been collecting supplies to send to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2006, said: "It was my way of giving something back. It was just a shame more people didn't come and enjoy it." Jackie is currently collecting items to send to the soldiers. She will be at the Co-op, Bude today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday) and will be at Morrisons, Bude on Monday and Wednesday next week.
