FOUR horse riders from Launceston Day Centre took part in the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) National Championships held at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, recently.
David Busbridge, Kay Francis, Martin Tillier and Susan Worsley ride regularly with the Riding for the Disabled Group at Lakefield Equestrian Centre near Camelford.
The RDA Countryside Challenge evolved from the event put on by the British Show Pony Society in the 1980s. With this idea in mind, RDA's East Region decided to plan a course for its regional event as a progression of riding skills with a meaning and a purpose, requiring balance, co-ordination and concentration by the rider.
